What is osCommerce?

osCommerce is a web-based shopping cart to sell your products via the internet. It was created in March of 2000 and is now in use by thousands of web stores. Designed as an open source program, osCommerce has thousands of developers who are constantly reviewing, updating, and expanding the code. What this means for its users is that bugs get fixed quickly, security systems are regularly revised and improved, and new program capabilities are contributed daily.

The osCommerce base code includes regular features like inventory management, shipping, and online payment systems. In addition, osCommerce has many additional features that can be added to the base code. These features are contributed by the many developers working on osCommerce. Some features that Dunamis Design has contributed include: the YourPay Online Payment module, the Ship with FedEx Account Numbers module, and the PDF Order Uploads module. What this means to you is that if your business has a special programming need, there may already be a module available for it, and you can add it to your osCommerce code.

We have also modified the base code shipping section to include a better shipping address manager. There was also one change that involved a better integration with Google Analytics.
