Urchin ELF Log Reporting

Urchin now includes the E-Urchin module featuring patent pending Return On Investment Reporting technology that allows for exact dollar reporting on an e-commerce website. Combining the web server's standard access log with the E-Urchin Logfile Format, ELF, online merchants gain unprecedented insight into the relationship between all website visitation parameters and actual dollars spent. The ELF log is a file that E-Urchin will need to process in addition to the access log. The ELF holds critical information about sales transactions for your online store including the location of the customer making a purchase and the products a customer purchased. For privacy and security reasons, the ELF format does not record credit-card numbers, names, phone numbers, or e-mail addresses. At the point of sale, an on-line transaction will be recorded by Miva in ELF. This ELF log will be used to generate reports that correlate site traffic directly with ecommerce allowing for exact auditing of advertising and market campaign effectiveness.
